Synopsis
Dark Chocolate Macadamia Nuts are a real favorite, either individually covered, in clusters or bark, or even in a few bars. Macadamia nuts are native to Australia, but are now also produced in New Zealand, South America, Africa, Israel, California, and Hawaii. The Hawaiian macadamia nuts, first commercially produced in the 1920s, established the international market. Macadamia nuts contain very high levels of mono-unsaturated fatty acids, contributing to lowered cholesterol, and are also a good source of protein. They contribute a fair amount of antioxidants, and, when eaten in moderation in combination with dark chocolate, can be very beneficial to your health.
